Associates Dinner and Program - "Global Change and Energy: A Path Forward"
About: We hope you'll join us for another great evening at the Athenaeum in November. Come meet old and new friends and learn more about this important topic from Dr. Paul Dimotakis. ABOUT THE TALK: An accelerated national and international effort to better understand the dynamics of our planet and progressive climate change is critical both today and for the future. Reliable forecasting and an assessment of the extent to which global climate change is attributable to natural phenomena and human contributions is part of the challenge. Discussions will focus on the link between global climate change and fossil-fuel use that has enabled our industrial and technological civilization, what energy might look like in the future, the opportunities that such a change will create, and what may be necessary to achieve this.
